Delicate Buds is a Sri Lanka Tea Board approved (Reg. No. HT0014) artisanal tea maker. We hand-craft small batches of silver tips, golden tips, green tea, black tea and our signature pink tea from a single garden below the Alagalla range in the Kandy District.

Single-origin tea, made by hand
Every leaf comes from our own 20-acre (8 hectare) tea garden in Menikdiwela, in the Kandy District of Sri Lanka's Central Province, just below the Alagalla mountain range. Nothing is bought in or blended with other estates — it's single-origin Ceylon tea, from our tea field to your tea cup.
Our tea range was created by Denham Vedamuttu, who has more than 30 years of experience in the Ceylon tea industry. Each batch is plucked, rolled and dried with care in limited quantities.
Sustainable gift boxes
Our gift boxes are made from 100% recycled elephant-dung paper, supporting conservation of the Sri Lankan elephant. We are currently converting our garden to organic production.
